Scottish Enterprise is Scotland's main economic development agency and aims to deliver a significant, lasting effect on the Scottish economy.  Our role is to help identify and exploit the best opportunities for economic growth.  Starting a technology business and getting an idea from concept to market is extremely challenging – and exciting.  Through our commercialisation activity, where we've identified a strong market opportunity and ambition, we can help translate those ideas and research into more spin-out and start-up companies, and encourage Scottish companies to make use of the technology and research being developed in Scotland to help grow Scotland's economy.
